Debbie is a life-long Kansan, born in Wichita and now living on a farm near Douglass.  Married to Don, she is the mother of 20-year-old Lucy, a student at Butler County Junior College, and 24-year old James.  Debbie has served as the Mid West Chair of SPEEA, the Engineering Union of Boeing and Spirit.  She is a former president of the Employees Community Fund.  She is currently a Vice President of IFPTE (the international parent) of SPEEA and the Treasurer of SPEEA and the Trustee of Rock Creek Township, and Precinct Committeewoman.
